Role and Responsibilities

• Build the Web frontend and backends for our cloud platform
• Design, build and maintain the Plivo Cloud Platform keeping high scalability requirements in mind
• Build technology to ensure 24 * 7 uptime Plivo infrastructure

Prerequisites

• Strong knowledge of Linux
• Very good knowledge in C or Python
• Good at Unix shell scripting
• Should have good understanding of networking concepts
• Should have good experience in building real world applications
• Should be able to work without a lot of supervision
• Should have knowledge of how the web (HTTP, APIs, REST) works
• Good understanding of RDBMS
• Must be open to learning new languages and technologies
• Have a Github profile or other repositories to show us some past code

Additional bonus points if you:

• Have worked on items out of our technology stack (Flask, Gevent, Redis)
• Have worked on Asynchronous programming
• Know multiple programming languages, and have the ability to take up new ones quickly
• Are a contributor to an open source project
• Have knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Have worked with AWS or Rackspace Cloud
• Have knowledge about FreeSWITCH, Asterisk or Opensips
• Have Knowledge of XMPP, Jingle
