Eligibility criteria summary: – 2011, 12, 13 graduates with a flair for technology & marketing and prior start up experience.
Internshala (www.internshala.com) is a 2 year old market place for internships. About 150K+ college students in India visit the website every month looking for suitable internships and 1,000+ companies hire interns regularly through Internshala. The team comprises of alumni from IIT Madras and NIT Jamshedpur.

About Internshala EDGE
Internshala EDGE is the internship resume review service by Internshala. Built on the idea that majority of the students prepare their first ever resume while applying for an internship and require sincere help in preparing a professional resume at that juncture – a need that is currently unfulfilled in the market.
We have done the pilot of the service and proved the concept with 1000+ paid users and now want to scale this up as a full fledged business line contributing significantly to Internshala’s growth and looking for a dedicated business manager to lead this for us.
About Internshala EDGE Business Manager
A more apt job title would be ‘In-House Entrepreneur‘. As Business Manager for EDGE, you would start as a one man army of Brand Manager, Product Manager, Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Operations Manager, and HR Manager all rolled into one and over time would be expected to build and lead a team of 30-50 people and grow the business line to INR 5Cr of annual revenue.
i) Achieve revenue & profitability targets
ii) Conceptualize and execute Marketing & Branding campaigns including college tie ups, digital marketing.
iii) Work with technology team to build the service as product
iv) Process owner
a) Review resumes
b) Address student queries/grievances
c) Set up Quality Monitoring framework & act on customer feedback to plug gaps in the process
v) Team building – recruitment, training, set up incentive models and appraisal frameworks
2. Ideal candidate would be someone
i) With prior start up experience (even an internship would count) or someone with a keen interest in entrepreneurship and working in a start up environment (Works hard, works smart, does not shy away from grunt work, can wear multiple hats and work outside pre-defined roles, comfortable with unstructured environment)
ii) With a natural knack for technology; while you may need not be an expert programmer yourself but you should be able to define the product, put together a team of Engineers, and get it built. You should feel excited with the thought of dabbling into code from time to time and should not be afraid of picking up advanced Computer Science concepts if need be.
iii) With strong business & marketing acumen & impeccable communication (written and oral) skills, and lives by ‘Customer at the heart of everything we do’ principle and believes in the founding principles
3. Location - Gurgaon
4. Remuneration - Fixed Salary + Equity. While the components are negotiable, the Equity would be a must part because we would like the candidate to have a stake in Internshala’s growth.
